Who we are. SolarCheck is operated by Bridge Media Ltd, a New Zealand company. In this notice “we” means Bridge Media Ltd, the responsible party for your information. Contact: greg@aisearch.marketing.
What we collect
- When you scan your roof: the address you choose, the answers you give (bill, supplier, backup, roof type, timing, how you’d pay) and basic technical information such as your browser type and the page that referred you.
- When you ask for a quote: your name, mobile number and email address, and your consent to be contacted.
- When you message us: whatever you choose to tell us.
Why we collect it
To estimate a solar system for your home, to email you that estimate as a PDF, to contact you about a quote if you ask for one, and to improve our estimates. We confirm your mobile number with a text code so that nobody can request a quote in your name.
Who we share it with
If you ask for a quote, your details go to one installation partner for your area, who visits and writes the quote. We don’t sell your information or pass it to anyone else. We use service providers to run this website, send emails and text messages and store data, and they may only use it on our instructions.
To measure your roof we send the address’s map location to Google’s Solar API and, outside its coverage, to mapping and sun-data services. Aerial roof images are kept for no more than 30 days.
How long we keep it
Scans without contact details are kept as anonymous records. Quote requests are kept for as long as we need them to deal with you, and then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to us using it, and complain to the Information Regulator. To make a request, email greg@aisearch.marketing.
